No Photoshop tricks here friends. Just another lucky shot. I was on my way home from work and immediately upon exiting the subway station at 34th St. & 8th Ave. in Manhattan, I looked up -- and this is what I saw!

I took about 30 shots to improve my chances of winding up with a good image and this was one of the best of the lot.

This photo was taken hand held, with the camera braced against the subway entrance itself. Using Photoshop, I gently used the shadow/Highlight tool, sharpened, cropped and built the frame.

Fog & Sunset (NYC, October 2007)

The Empire State Building seems to evaporate into the low-lying clouds (of fog?) while a spectacular sunset blazes underneath.
