The New, New York (NYC, September 2009)

Herald Square, just outside of Macy's, has been converted into a pedestrian plaza instead of a street for cars and other vehicles. Quite a change! These new pedestrian plazas can be seen at various main intersections, along Broadway, in Manhattan. In the background is the glorious Empire State Building... this evening glowing yellow for god knows what reason... but I like it!
